One who thoroughly enjoys the mary jane. Perhaps they have been accused of loving weed more than their significant other. They smoke when they wake up, before work, during work, if possible, and as soon as they get home. They never run out of weed because they are always planning ahead.

In short, a professional weed smoker.

Pothead

Someone who has a deep bond with their bud. Potheads are often thought to become burnouts, but this is not usually the case. This type of marijuana user is very relaxed and laid back and usually has a very strong appreciation for life and relaxation. A pothead is only a pothead when he/she is not offended by this name, because if you smoke ganja and don't want to be considered a pothead, you don't REALLY smoke.
Also; if someone calls them self a pothead but no one else does, this person is simply a little noob and is not really a pothead. One can only really be a pothead when they come to the realization one day while smoking massive amounts of tree that they are, in fact, a pothead. If this is not how the revelation takes place, it is not valid and should not be considered as part of this person's personality.
Potheads are often thought of as loser, ignorant, trivial life forms but are really some of the most respectable people you will ever meet. Potheads have the quality of being extremely perceptive about feelings and very understanding and accepting, not simply because they don't care, but because they are genuinely calm and thoughtful beings.
