time gate

Similar to a paywall, a common mechanic in modern games, especially mobile, where a feature of the game (or the game itself) has a limited number of uses or play time which only resets when the next period begins (usually a daily refresh) unless the player opts to pay extra.
God damn I hate the time gate in this mobile app. I can only play at best an hour a day unless I pay extra.

Black Gates

A term for a situation of extreme awkwardness. A comparison to the hordes of "Awks" pouring out of the Black Gates in LOTR, ie it is the most awkward situation possible.
Son: Good Day Mom?

Mother: Son, I haven't been sexually satisfied by your father in years, so I divorced him this morning and we're moving in with your Headmaster. I'm sure he'll drive you into school tomorrow.

You: Holy shit Black Gates.

Gaeltacht

Place in Ireland where the Irish language is still spoken and taught. Found in Donegal and other places in the west of Ireland.
Hell for any one who goes there to learn Irish, great for anyone who likes discos and trips around the country, fun for tourists who find the irish language 'cute'.
1) I'm in a Gaeltacht, get me out of here!
2) I'm in a Gaeltacht, yeay!
3) I'm in a Gaeltacht, take my photo!
