To accept minor film roles and other appearences in order to maintain one's public profile in the popular media.
"It's just fame maintenance"
Fame maintenence was coined by John Waters the American filmmaker, actor, stand-up comedian, writer, journalist, visual artist, and art collector. He says film acting isn't his first love but he does accept minor roles in other people's movies, "but that's just fame maintenence ". (Quoted in North and South magazine, October 2011).

Fame Academy, an old reality tv show from BBC abit like pop idol, except they are taught music.
The winners have been a flop.
Lemar is the only one to get famous from it and he was 3rd Place, mad.
The show only had 2 series and has now ended.

David Sneddon won the first fame academy, made only 2 songs and then went.
Alex Parks won the second and she failed straight away.
