Square, the evil corporation

SquareEnix (formally Squaresoft) from 1997-2004 when they refused to sell Nintendo Final Fantasy. Run by an evil president who favored evil corporations over stuggling companies who don't try to monopolize the electronics industry. When the evil president was forced to reign, Final Fantasy was returned to Nintendo in the form of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, the most addicting game on the planet.
Isn't it ironic that Square modeled it's new company policy off of the Shinra in FFVII, the antithesis of good?

This move has most recently been made famous by The Red Ring of Death on Microsoft's Xbox 360
"God Damn it, My 360 got the E74 error! Don't tell me I've gotta spend more bucks for a problem that Microsoft already know is happening!"

"Dude, Don't ya know? It's just another Corporation Tactic!"

Eric: I can't even go to the shopping malls on Black Friday. It gives me commotion sickness.

comforting fiction

An untruth we tell ourselves, or tell others, to keep from having to face facts, and to ease us through hard times.
Just wash your hands and you'll be fine, warm weather will make it disappear, only old people can die from it... one comforting fiction after another could not disguise the truth that we were all in for a long, painful journey.
