A joke, statment or speech that leaves such a bad taste in your mouth that you wish you could gargle it away with mouth wash. Often applicable to politicians or people who think they're funny but aren't.

Get the gargle babblemug. Phrase used to describe a style of dialogue in filmmaking. Composed of curse-laden, quick-witted, back and forth banter concerning the most mundane of subjects. This style was popularized by Quentin Tarantino in films like Reservior Dogs and Pulp Fiction. The phrase is used equally as an homage to Tarantino as well as a put-down to copycat writers.
