Mustang offshoots

Of all the Mustang offshoots, my favorite is the current Avanti. It was originally a Studebaker. Then it became a Camaro based car. When the Camaro became extinct, Avanti switched to the Mustang platform.

a mother who shops at Pier 1, Cost Plus, or other such imported home furnishings stores so as to make herself appear more worldly
Example-

person 1: "Have you been to Stacy's house? It's in a track neighborhood but it's full of obscure scented candles and Native American artwork like a Pier 1 catalog."

person 2: "She must have an offshore mom."
