Exaggerated statements or claims delivered with such conviction it is often mistaken for the truth.Often used when intoxicated.
Can be used in it's abbreviated form as follows:

A little lyle , a not quite plausible untruth or exaggeration.
A Big fat lyle - usually accompanied by a botanical latin name or a mythical chemical compound
A true hypebolyle similar to the above but delivered with such conviction that it convinces the person who delivers the statement

a prime example of a hyperbolyle is the following "In trying to make an extract from the humble Theophratis by means of titration a salt resembling CH7ROH14 is left behind as a residue"
