The Fleet

The Fleet is a mythical creature that supposedly exists inside the Marine Corps after training. This is where things are supposed to get easier and a tad less stresseful. The existence of the fleet has been proven a lie and does in fact not exist.

"A" school instructor- "We are training you for the fleet."

a last name, that was changed from the very common Dutch last name Van Vliet meaning of the water or stream. People with this last name are from Holland.

When they came over on the boat, the people changes their name from Van Vliet to Van Fleet !
