A phrase or verbal cue intended to solicit attention or further inquiry from an uninvolved third party.
James looked down at his phone and said "wow, that's so cool", hoping that others around him would rush to his side begging for details.
He always uses verbal clickbait to try to start conversations.

When a C.Ai bot has a lengthy, descriptive greeting but the messages sent after are short, bland 1-3 sentence messages.
Dude 1: “Did you use bot on Character AI? It’s such a clickbait bot.”
Dude 2: “Yeah, the greeting was a whole novel but then it said forgetful short messages. Never using that bot again.”

The act of creating clickbait headlines - to lure readers to inane, untrue or double-minded articles - sold as journalism.
Clickbaitism is clickbait combined with really bad and dishonest journalism.
Especially social media and sponsored articles lead to a new form of clickbaitism.

a type of video were it has the one who made this video say "(insert religious idol) wants you to see this" or "scroll if you hate (this religious idol the audience believes in)" to make the audience believe that the person who created this video is talking about how the audience from any religion can be saved according to the religion the audience believes in but in reality the people who make these videos are in it for the money and don't want to spread their religious views which then that video then gets remixed so that either the original owner of those types of videos or the person who remixed that video gets more views/likes/subscribers and mostly do it for attention and clout.
video: scroll if you hate (religious figure the audience believes in) person 1: ok I'm a (insert religion related to that video) and i know for a fact that this is religious clickbait
