confirmation bientist

A person who thinks they are good at optimizing their electronics, computers and other equipment, but suffer severely from confirmation bias. Bientists "buy into" ridiculous, half-baked and often overkill solutions usually out of a combination of impatience and arrogance. Rather than doing any verifiable research or empirical experimentation, they base their techniques on correlations, isolated incidents and things they read once on a forum, usually posted by other bientists. If a confirmation bientists finds another confirmation bientist with the same ideas, their ignorance is locked in for life. See also: bientist.

Any confirmation bientist will tell you that disabling all the services in Microsoft Windows and turning off automatic updates will make everything run better and faster with minimal internet lag.

I can neither confirm nor deny

It is a hint to the answer of a question, it works best if you know the person well enough that they can figure out the answer on their own. Emotions & expressions can also hint towards the answer.
Also used if you actually don't know or are trying to cover your company's ass.

"Hey Bob, have you ever seen Iron Man 1 before?"
"I can neither confirm nor deny that"

"Hey Jill, do you have my pencil?"
"I can neither confirm nor deny that"

Confirmist whore

1. Someone (ussualy a girl) SO obsessed with fitting in, being popular, and owning all the latest items, they became what is known as a confirmist whore. They're main goal in life is to fit in and be up-to-date. Nothing - and I mean NOTHING - is more importent. Similar to a Myspace whore, they're obsessed.

2. Someone who obsessivly tries to be someone their not and eventualy "confirms" to a certain steryotype.

1. Confirmist Whore: 0MG. You're shirt is SOOOO LAST MINUTE. I just got a cell phone update that pattern is out, go change now or you'll be unpopularrrrz! Zomg!

Non-confirmist: Who cares if it's out or in, I love this shirt.

2. Confirmist whore: I just went out and bought a whole bunch of clothes from Hollister, I'm trying to be a Prep... I hope I'll be popular and have cool friends this year...

Non-confirmst: Stop trying to fit in with them, just be yourself!
