A boothmaker is someone who sits in a booth or stall (usually at an expo or similar) trying to get people interested in the products they sell, so they can make a sale.

They sit down with you and explain everything, give demos, and most of the time, offer to come to your house.

Once you give them your info, they rarely will leave you alone.

Friend 1: Are you a boothmaker?
"Friend" 2: Nah the booths are already made for us, I just sit in the booth and try to make a sale.
