Usually they have an out of state registration and license plates, predominately from New Jersey and driven by illegal immigrants. Many times they may have a sleeper birth. They typically drive like maniacs because they get paid “by the load” at a very low rate. Companies love to use the “one pick, on drop” excuse for using them instead of the right UNION trucks.
The teamster was on a job site and seen a truck with a sleeper pull into the other side of the job, so he asked the onsite steward, “hey jim, is that company a signatory?” Jim replied, “nah man, that’s one of those one drop one pick out of state scabbin-wagons!”
