She needs to be humanized! There was also a lot of friction between her in the cast initially (and you could see that in the interviews) and THAT should come through in the movies TOO. Carol Danvers trying to reconcile with her inability to receive the approval she seeks and the friction between her (as the new leader of the Avengers) and leftovers in the wake of Ironman's death.
