Basketball minute

The equivalent of a football minute; a basketball minute is when someone asks for a minute to do something, even though they know it will take much longer than 60 seconds. The basketball minute is particularly a last-minute football minute.

Woman: Your sandwich will be ready in a minute!
Man: If you prepare it like you get ready in the morning, it'll be more like a basketball minute, and I'm starved!

Mom minutes

When a mother figure exaggerates the amount of minutes you did or didn't do something. She makes it from the amount of minutes it actually takes and says more, this in itself is it's own antonym. Due to this can be understating or exaggerating something.

Mom: You were supposed to be home 30 minutes ago!

Son: I was supposed to be home ten minutes ago. I don't know why your clock runs on mom minutes.
