Collingwood Holiday

This term is applied when a person in your company is sacked / made redundant with no explaination from management as to why or indeed if they have been let go. First came into existence circa July 2011 at a company based in central England.

Paul: I have a call for Joe but he isn't answering
Jim: I heard from management that he is on holiday
Paul: Ah, it must be a Collingwood Holiday after yesterdays run in with management and punch up!
Jim: Poor Joe...... if you hear from him, pass on my best and I hope he enjoys his 'holiday'.

Collingwood

Collingwood- A bunch of white guys who think their from the hood and probably have a soundcloud. These guys also probably became drug dealers before grade 9. We like to say we are the city of rich bitches and rude boys. To find the druggies or popular high schoolers head to the local McDonalds or the pier in the summer. The population is mostly made up of breezes, bongs and beers but the other 5 percent is crack heads or stoners. This crazy atmosphere could scare of a fresh man but a few days in the “nic pit” and we will send you away with a fresh point of view and most importantly a heady.

Collingwood

A town in mid Ontario. It’s not all bad like it’s cracked up to be on this site but maybe it’s because I’m just a frequent visitor and not a resident. Collingwood is located in between Wasaga Beach and Blue Mountain. It’s architecture is pretty pioneer-ish and old timey. the people are decent although the younger ones look like they have a SoundCloud and the older ones look like they’re from Toronto and just use Collingwood as a hub area to put their mansion-cottages, but otherwise they’re nice. It’s kinda like a bite sized version of Toronto, just switch Lake Ontario for the Georgian Bay and shrink Torontos size by a lot and you have collingwood. Over all a great town to visit or stay a weekend at the very most, but stay longer and it looses its magic (like a lot of small Ontario towns).
