Schlumberjargon

A collective term for technical (and often confusing) oilfield shop talk.

Oilfield Engineer A: "Hey, we need to do an RST and a PLT in this well. Somebody call Schlumberger."

Oilfield Engineer B: "Shouldn't we run an SCMT and a CHFR in addition to the RST?"

Oilfield Engineer A: "Nah, on second thought, we'll just P&A."

Normal Person: "Hey guys, shut up with all the Schlumberjargon and let's just do the job!"

Schaumburg

A Northwest suburb of Chicago. It has a population of approximately 75,000 and is on the 2007 list of top 10 places to live in the US. It is near Woodfield Mall, the mall with the most shopping space in the country. It is also host to a number of restaurants and a great deal of other businesses and stores. It includes housing from affordable to very high end with excellent school districts. Most high school students who live in Schaumburg go to Schaumburg HS in Schaumburg, Conant HS in Hoffman Estates (a neighboring town), or Hoffman Estates HS. Towns near Schaumburg include Hoffman Estates, Barrington (in all varieties from Barrington Hills to South Barrington), Invernes, Rolling Meadows, Palatine, and Hanover Park in addition to a few more. With decent traffic conditions Schaumburg is less than an hour drive from Chicago.

Schumachered

Transitive Verb

To suffer a contrived form of misfortune deliberately inflicted by another party, easily recognisable after it has occurred through its sheer effrontery. Often used in a sporting context, although can also be applied to more domestic situations.

1. Damon was cruising around the circuit with ease on route to his first world championship, until he was schumachered out of contention by a rogue Benetton

2. Helen was enjoying a delightful cup of tea, until she noticed Adam had put a pube in it, thus schumachering her considerably.
