The most offensive word you can call a guy. More so than any other slang word that exists.

Buddy

1. A term used by men that are insecure about themselves to refer to other men. It is often used so one can feel or seem superior.

Often, the person using the term fails to realize its use is accomplishing nothing except the feeling of contempt.

2. A term used for boys 12 and under as a term of endearment. Typically by an elder figure such as a grandpa or t-ball coach.

3. A great name for a dog.

Shortened version: Bud

Example 1:
Tim: “Hey buddy, want to give me a ride home later?”
John: “I’ll let that slide because Sara is here and you are trying to compensate for your 5’4 frame and lack of a car. Sure, I’ll give you a ride though.”

Example 2:
Coach: “Great hit buddy!”
Kid: “Thanks Coach!”

Example 3:
Owner: “Go fetch Buddy”
Dog: “Woof!”
