Uticano

A Puerto Rican or other Latin American who came to Utica, NY via New York City, Florida or California any number of years ago and has made a life for him or herself in this decaying cesspool of forgotten human beings as either a bus driver, landlord, police officer or any other job that pays a semi-livable wage. The pejoritative connotations of this word are due to the fact that there must be something obviously wrong with any Hispanic who would leave his or her native country and move to America's anus. The perjoritave connotations are augmented by the fact that these transplanted Hispanics don't seem to realize (yet, at least) that they made a poor decision by moving from, say, El Salvador or Mexico to Utica, NY.
If that Hispanic guy's from Puerto Rico what the Hell is he doing in Utica?
I don't know, I guess he's a Uticano.

I got chased by some Uticanos on my way to school.

Italian Vinny: Uticanos are taking all our jobs.

Redneck "Red" Smith: Uticanos are taking all our jobs.

Polish Margaret Muntz: Uticanos are taking all our jobs (even though we don't work).

Bosnian Igor Slosovich: We have to compete against Uticanos for jobs.

African-American Otis Freeman: When we go to prison all of the Uticano prison guards rough us up.

utica crib

An adult-size restraining bed, this wooden crib was equipped with a lid and was capable of being locked. It was designed in 1845 by Dr. Anabanel of France. In 1846, Dr. Amariah Brigham, the first superintendent of the "New York State Lunatic Asylum" brought the crib to the asylum in Utica, New York. Several modifications were made on the original design and thus the "Utica Crib" was born. The crib was designed in such a way that air could flow freely between the top and sides. The bottom was cushioned with layers of straw. The crib was used in case of "exhaustion" when the physical health of the patient demanded that (s)he be kept in bed. Additionally, the crib could be suspended on chains and rocked to calm the patients. The last remaining Utica Crib was removed from use on January 18, 1887.

negative utilitarianism

The school of thought that states that suffering must be eradicated at all costs. The ultimate aim therefore of negative utilitarianism is to destroy all life. This aim is often termed global suicide.
Many philosophers reject negative utilitarianism as being a terrible moral system because it asks for the destruction of life, which is normally considered very painful to all involved.
However, achieving NU'ism goal will have no adverse effects because there will be no one around to observe them and decided that they are bad effects.
I believe in the values of negative utilitarianism. If you want to know why I haven't killed myself yet; ask a chain smoker why he hasn't stopped smoking even though it is ruining him and he wants to quit.
