Torcano

Very infrequently occuring semi-natural disaster in which a tornado descends upon an active volcano and hurls the lava about (lavabomb) in a haphazardly manner, thereby exacerbating the situation.

Did you see that tornado that hit Mt. St. Helens while it was erupting? It was definitely a M3 torcano on the Marsh scale.

Pulling a Turco

Pulling a Turco is an excuse of the lamest proportions. This is typically an excuse given at the last minute after multiple promises of coming to Jiu-Jitsu class and/or an open mat. Examples of pulling a Turco can be any or all of the following :

1) Work got the best of me today.

2) Wish I could make it but I’m buried in work.

3) I have to babysit my parakeet.

4) Wish I could come to class today but I have to wash my ferret.

5) Sorry guys, can’t make it today because I got pulled into a meeting.

Training partner 1: Open mat is on fire today, where is Tom? He promised he would come today.

Training partner 2: Five minutes before open mat started, he told us that he couldn’t come because he had to wash his poodle. So lame.

Training partner 1: What a douche, he’s totally pulling a Turco.

Training partner 2: Yep, he’ll be in a white belt forever.
