Rapidly scrolling text in a chat system, an accidental typo for "scroll" that became popular in the early Apple-II and TRS-80 based serial chat trees like Roundtable.

Still occasionally seen on IRC and web-based chat systems that don't maintain a complete chat history.
Repeat that, it was lost in the scrool!

Scrooging

Scrooging or to Scrooge is when a person breaks up with their significant the just before the holidays. Based on the personality of the character Ebenezer Scrooge, form Charles Dickens' novella A Christmas Carol.
Man 1: "I just broke up with Michelle. I figured I'd save my money this holiday season."

Man 2: "Ahh, a case of Scrooging at it's finest. Since you're so wealthy now, the first round's on you."
