Profile digging

When a stranger on social media gets into an argument with you, and decides to look through your profile and comment on it instead of the topic at hand. Usually used to disguise the fact that said stranger lacks any evidence to back up their stated position in the (unrelated) argument you're having.

It's also universally seen as creepy/perverted behavior. In extreme cases, it can lead to profile stalking.

Profile digging, especially for the purposes of trying to drag someone, is just gross.

phantom profile

A social network page, exp: facebook, twitter, or myspace profile that belongs/belonged to a now deceased person.
Could also be known as a "frozen profile".

My cousin has been gone for 3 years now, but on occasion I'll log onto facebook to look at his "phantom profile".
