loiterati

People who loiter in offices, cubicles, and public places and make knowing, often deprecating comments about their employers, co-workers, public figures, and other topics of general interest. Very often their opinions sound informed, but are not.

As I passed the break room, I overheard the loiterati discussing the company's new strategic plan, predicting failure and pink slips.

Bad books that people find interesting for a very short period of time, rarely bought and even rarelier finished. Lame biographies, lame romances, etc.

Literature

Literature is the all-inclusive term used to describe instructions or other small-typed text found in various products in small booklets or otherwise. A classic example of "fine American literature" would be Johnson & Johnson's literature on their rectal thermometers (see below).

An example of American literature:

"Every Rectal Thermometer made by Johnson & Johnson is personally tested and then sanitized." -from literature of rectal thermometers made by Johnson and Johnson

Literate kid

Someone on the internet who uses perfect grammar when they talk; Usually thinks highly of themselves. Most literate kids only talk to other literate kids, and see anyone else as stupid.

boy1 : hey u know were i can find sum free music?
boy2 : Ew, ever heard of a thing called grammar? You should try it sometime.
boy1 : cn u just tell me were i can get free music??
boy2 : Yeah, when you start typing so I can understand you. Dictionary.com, retard.
