a rush achieved after a long climb, ascent or poetical revelation which transports the climber or listener into a "peak" of experience.

1. Every time Jimmer ascended the trail from Robert Louis Stevenson Park to the summit of Mount Saint Helena to visit the ashes of Chevy Chaser he experienced a climbmax.

2. As the poet finished the last strophe in the piece of poetry most of the audience shared a climbmax.
