Someone who consistently makes excuses as to why they can’t perform at the normal standard of a given task. These people oftentimes have endless reasons for why they do/ will do poorly at something. They lack self confidence and normally need some kind of leverage or stepping stone to help them in their endeavors.

Person A: Johnny always has an excuse for literally everything. It’s so annoying.

Person B: Yeah. He’s a real beta, if you ask me.
