A
lot of people who move from up north think they are moving to a suburban area down South exactly
like where they were from, except they can get more house and more land for every dollar they make, and expect all the same amentities as they had where they were from. In
reality, a lot of these houses weren't even there 20, 30 years ago, and were built on land where nobody lived before. Amenity wise,
nothing was there because nobody lived there, it was the country. Most of the newer stuff was built for the people who moved there, and not for the people who were already there.
