'Furry' started around people who like having intercourse, particularly orgies, in fursuits. Like the Chuck E Cheese or Mickey Mouse type suits, which is why its called 'furry'. It started around the convention circuit, solely coming from sexual activities in the suits, as you could see it would be easy for all these people coming together in one place to do so. People who frequent conventions remember it starting out. This is what furry means.

It seems to have evolved into any anthropomorphic animal involving any nonsense a person will just invent, you can tell it's just made up. Being interested in anthropomorphic animals is called fiction. 'Animal Farm' is not a furry book.

Conventions used to be a friendly, fun atmosphere but the furry perverts ruined it.

Incredibly off-beat subculture of nerd-dom, considered by many to be the nerdiest of all. Someone who plays "Werewolf: The Apocalypse," has an account on DeviantArt, and cannot get sexually aroused unless both parties involved are dressed up like members of the Banana Splits.

I can get along fine with Trekkies, otakus, comic book geeks, math nerds, and even LARPers, but I will never associate with a damn furry.

The lowest of the low when it comes to the human race, along with bronies. Furries are people that dress up as anthropomorphic animals and have sex with each other, but are also usually either young adults teens at the peak of puberty trying to “find themselves”, or 45 year old men who sit in their basement and jerk off to wolves with tits.
