An Italian car manufacturer, mainly of small, cheap but often fun and charismatic cars. The average Fiat has a top speed of about 100mph if driven by an average driver or approaching the sound barrier if driven by an Italian.
Pre 1990 cars tend to rust if left in the rain, hence the Fiat stands for "Fix It Again Tony" jokes. Reliability on modern Fiats is actually very good, just don't expect Lexus style build quality.

Used in debate, it's a process by which you can just assume that a plan gets passed by congress and such, so that you can debate the benifits of the plan, not just congress shit.

Also is abused, debaters will claim fiat for anything that they can't prove will happen.
