Being a normie is subjective because it depends on what is considered normal for that particular situation. A normie, therefore, is the act, state, or condition of serving as a pattern, standard, norm or model for which others can reach towards.

Ex: Reaching normie status at an Ivy League college would prove to be far greater than acquiring normie status at a Junior College.

Adj; Originally used by mental health advocates to describe people without mental illness. However, its most famous use nowadays is within the garbage-filled cesspools known as the alt-right and manosphere. Anyone using this word should automatically assumed to be a massive douchebag, whether they be alt-right, MRA or even an edgy tumblrina who thinks s/he's being funny.

(Insult/Derogative; Increasingly ironic use)

A person whose sensibilities line up with social norms. The opposite of an "Edgelord." Originated on internet forums to refer to people who prefer established, older memes (Bad Luck Brian, Confession Bear, etc), but quickly became shorthand for anyone with any mainstream taste.

Ironic use is growing quickly, to parody people who say "Normie" sincerely. Similar to "Wake up, sheeple."

1 (Sincere): "Bill doesn't even watch Rick & Morty or Regular Show. He's such a Normie."

2 (Ironic): "Normies ruin everything! Wake up, sheeple! "
