To exit to the Xbox 360 Dashboard. Dashboarding is somewhat common in Infinity Ward's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 when the player is looking to preserve their kill/death ratio or avoid a Tactical Nuke that was earned through boosting.

When a player, within the xbox community quickly ejects from a game to there xbox dashboard. For such reasons as, game freezing, rage quitting, and also to quickly switch games.

A gaming term used to refer to when a game suddenly freezes for absolutely no reason whatsoever, forcing a restart.

The term was coined by various Fallout 76 players, as the game is absolutely notorious for doing this.
"Don't worry, I got y- GODDAMMIT!"

"Did you dashboard?"

"Yes..."

"Man, dashboarding sucks. I feel you, man."

The mysterious act of “going to check something in the car” during a social gathering, only to return with suspiciously high energy, intense jaw action, and an overuse of the word “bro.”

Origin: Coined after a legendary night of camping when someone got caught doing cocaine off their car dashboard by a park ranger. Instantly elevating “dashboarding” to urban legend status among the friend group.
“Has anyone seen Jake?”
“He said he left his phone in the car.”
“Bro… he’s dashboarding.”
