Pulling a Howard

This is when you are having a healthy discord with a friend and just as you think you have them on their heels, the adversary brings something up that though technically has something to do with the subject at hand, is just arbitrary enough to completely throw you off of the original argument. This mixed with the opponent's ability to speak at an alarmingly fast pace will cause you to completely forget your best point and therefore lose the battle.
Dude, I was watching CNN last night and Donald Trump's advisor totally PULLED A HOWARD on Anderson Cooper!

Pulling a Howard

The act of copying, mimicing, a 'funny' or humerous, action by a friend. Going over the top, with this action, either causing damage, or getting the whole group in trouble.
This is a bad social action. In order to pull a correct Howard, you have to deny the Howard itself. Thus blame someone else for the trouble, and/or damage caused
Basically; a fuck up.
After Ted, started to throw his pen, at a friend, for a joke. Bob, Pulling a Howard, by through his ruler at the teacher. Then denied ever doing so, even though he was seen doing it. Everybody got in trouble.

Pulling a Howard Ratner

1) When you gamble all of the money you made from selling goods you borrowed from someone else, and still lose all of THAT money.

2) When you hide in your side ho's closet and text her.
3)When you buy an uncut black opal gem online, and somehow get it stolen by Kevin Garnett.
1) Ah honey, you are pulling a Howard Ratner, now how are we gonna pay for our bills.
2) Ah honey, you are pulling a Howard Ratner, now how are we gonna unfuck Julia.
3) Ah honey, you are pulling a Howard Ratner, now how are we gonna get our Uncut Gem *wink* back from Kevin Garnett.

Fogey/fogy /fougi/ sl. (early 18C+, orig. Scot) old-fashioned, stuck-in-the mud.
Person with old fashioned ideas which he is unwilling to change: Come to the disco and stop being such an old fogey!
You think me an old fogeyand an old tory, his thoughtful voice said. I saw three generations since O’Connel’s time. I remember the famine. Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue? You fenians forget some things. (James Joyce, Ulysses. Penguin Books,1992. p. 38)
