Spectacle creep 

A phenomenon occurring when the creator/creators of certain a media franchise (in games, movies, comics, etc) try to keep things fresh and interesting by unwisely making everything bigger, better and more spectacular. This can lead to the feeling that everything up to that point didn't really have a point or that everything after this point is pointless since it's just so ridiculously over the top.

Spectacle Fighter

A term first coined by "The Escapist's" resident Australian game critic Yahtzee, to describe a genre of fighter in which a game's focus is on the visual beauty of fighting enemies as opposed to actual realism or other aspects of game play.

All you ever do in Mad World is kill people extravagantly for points - it's totally a Spectacle Fighter.

snotcicle

Primarily found in cold climates, the snotcicle occurs when the fluid of a runny nose freezes, creating a sort of icicle. Freequently found in the beard and/or mustache of rugged outdoors men.
