Jew-veau riche

Jew-veau riche(French: "new jew") is a term, usually derogatory, to describe those whose Judaism has be acquired through conversion, rather than birthright. They did not develop their Jewish identity through a lifetime of suffering being guilted by a Jewish mother, being sent off to overnight camp or blamed for killing Jesus.

Jew-veau riche people excessively flaunt their new found Judaism when in the company of Jews by birthright.

"Ivanka's husband wasn't allowed to marry her until she converted to Judaism. She's so Jew-veau riche, that she brags about keeping Kosher on Christmas."

nouveau riche 

A term of reference used by the already rich to describe people who had the audacity to become rich by actually working for it rather than by patronage and inheritance.

One could argue that the only validity of the derogatory moniker is for those who have more money than class - but then that could be said of the more traditional rich.

This ski resort is full of nouveau riche!

A term for someone from the ghetto who attains large amounts of money through business or fame. Similar to "nouveau riche".

Faux riche 

noun, verb or an adjective meaning

1. Classy realness, as opposed to pretending to be rich.
2. Lavish experiences and the possession of expensive items acquired at a fraction of their market value through creativity, knowledge and skill.
3. People who pursue beauty and decadence at no cost.
4. Occasionally the ‘faux’ is silent.

It was so faux riche when we bought a vintage Rolls Royce on Craigslist for less than the price of a used Honda.

Someone who acquired and retained wealth through shady or illegal business deals that were later exposed.

Dan was forced to join a second rate country club because the arms dealing and stock manipulation stories in the newspaper made him too scandal riche for polite society.
