The Dave Grohl Effect

Most prominent in the frontman of the Foo Fighters Dave Grohl (and thusly named after him), the Dave Grohl Effect is when a man looks far, far better when he has a beard. Examples of more people the Dave Grohl Effect works on are Sean Bean, Alec Baldwin, Will Wheaton, Martin Freeman and David Schwimmer.
"Hey, have you seen Joe? He's really rocking that new beard, makes him look totally badass"

"Yeah, that'll be the Dave Grohl Effect."

The Dave Coulier Effect

Dave Coulier played a professional comedian on Full House, yet he was the least funny character on the show. The Dave Coulier Effect is when someone should be/acts like an expert on something, but is actually clueless on the subject.
The HR guy drives me nuts! He's suffering from The Dave Coulier Effect.

the dave chappelle/rick james effect

It happens whenever something funny is presented, then wholly gobbled up by the media and public, excreted into senseless dreck, and then whatever originality and humor was left in the original source of material, has been thouroughly raped into bleeding submission.
Eg; whenever someone says "I'm Rick James B*tch", or anyone makes a quote from Napoleon Dynamite. Particularly "Gosh", or something along those lines.

the dave ratio

In any given engineering environment, the number of Daves will be greater than or equal to the number of women.
Carrie was always in the minority in her computer science classes; she had more Dave classmates than female classmates. The Dave ratio meant that she always knew more Daves than women.

The Dave's

When you have to take a massive, wet shit.
I went to lunch, had some BBQ and had to stop at the gas station to take a massive Dave!

I really hate when I get the Dave's!

The Dave Effect

A release of endorphins in the brain which causes weakness of knees and sexual tension in females and a desire of emulation in males. It is brought on by the presence of, thought of, or mention of The Dave.
As Gary mentioned Dave, Daniella felt her knees go weak and knew she was experiencing the Dave Effect.
