offended

Strong indicator that you are dealing with an idiot. Pathetic people often use "I am offended" to gain power over others in conversations; with the intent that the other person will cower to them in order to make them feel not offended. However, the correct response to "offended" people is to thank them for confirming that they are an idiot, and move on.
Person A: I am offended by that remark.
Person B: Yes, I see that.

Being Offended

Claiming that you are offended is essentially saying that you are incapable of controlling and managing your own emotions and so everybody else should do it for you.
Other people eating animals offends me even though it has nothing to do with me and does not affect my life in any way, shape, or form. Now that, is an example of a complete idiot being offended.

No Offence

No offence, usually said right before someone horribly insults you. It removes guilt from them and so they can say anything, however cruel without feeling remorseful.
