A popular reality TV show in which numerous randomly selected contestants make pitiful attempts to survive in a secluded area while they bitch about their workload until they are eventually voted off by their teammates.

survival position

A position two people use when there is a need for warmth. The position is the same as spooning. Both persons are laying on their sides the back of one person touching the front of the other.

Two men were lost on a snowy mountian. They had to stay in the cold overnight, so in order to stay warm they told the media they got in the survival position, in order to prevent hypothermia.

Swine 09 Survivor 

A student from Grafton High School (GHS) who survived the Swine Flu Epidemic that swept through in October 2009. The student is still living. They can laugh at all the other students who spent their weekends throwing up, coughing and not eating.

survivalist

usually a fairly crazy person, who thinks that eventually the world be a big free-for-all, traits of one may include, paranoia about politics and war, large stash of weapons and ammo and food, medical supplies, and sometimes even a bomb-shelter on their property. very militaristic person

i just bought a rifle off this crazy survivalist, he showed me his weapons stash 20 feet below ground dug from his basement, i was in the military, and even i had never seen some of the things that man had, guns and ammo of every type!

A term used to describe female contestants on the CBS reality TV show Survivor that were already too skinny and continue to wither and waste away on the requisite diet of rice, roots, and bugs until they look like bony shells of their former selves.

Courtney Yates of "Survivor: China" was too skinny to begin with but now she's Survivorexic.

The 80s Arena (Corporate) Rock band that produced several albums, and numerous smash hits, including "Eye of The Tiger", "High On You", "The Search Is Over", "American Heartbeat", "Is This Love", and "I Can't Hold Back".

Survivor is a great 80s Chicago-based band that everyone should hear.

survivalist

A person that believes in self reliance. A "survivalist" does not wish to depend on other people, or the government to take care of them or their family. Many survivalist have gardens so they depend less on grocery stores. In times of civil unrest, such as riots, must survivalist are prepared to defend their homes and families instead of depending on the police. A survivalist is someone who will take care of theirselves and their families instead of asking for help. Survivalist are often associated with the "whacko" types and usually thought to be a little "off" in the head - this is far from the truth. Anyone who prepares for hard times, natural disasters, or periods of civil unrest is a "survivalist."

John is true survivalist, he lost his job last week and already found another one.

Jim was lost in the woods for three days and found his own way out - he is a real survivalist.
