Chasing Ghosts

A situation in which one is troubleshooting sophisticated electronics systems and being unable to recreate the reported incident and there is no internal system record of said incident. Yet the problem seems to return and disappear again over time.
The server was constantly beeping until the morning before the service technician arrived. He spent the next two hours Chasing Ghosts trying to find out what it was about.

Chasing the ghost

Scraping your meth pipe to get resin hits. Usually done after all money and possessions have been used or sold, and you're craving.
"Code man quit chasing the ghost you fucking tweak! Lay off the dope and hit this goat."
Spidey sense for evading poop on the street, canine or otherwise.
When walking in NYC or LA, you need shitdar.

Shackteâu

A Shackteau is a humble, weather-beaten, structurally questionable shelter located in a spectacular or highly coveted place—Wales, Jackson Hole, Sun Valley, Crested Butte, coastal Maine, the Alps—where the building itself may be worth almost nothing, but the dirt, view, access, and mythology make it absurdly valuable.
In use:
