Weigh-in 

A term used normally for league fighting where fighters are weighed and get to beef or 'square up' to each other. Also used on the street in the same instance where a close to fighting dispute happened usually with the people arguing pushing and screaming in each others faces.
Friend1: Did you hear about that dave kid beefing tom?

Friend2: Yeahhh! i did mateee. Tom weighed him in but dave bottled it didnt he!? The patty.

An official event held by the mayor's office of a city to measure the weight of the mayor in the presence of the press gallery while sometimes metaphorically 'weighing-in' on current city issues. The practice originated in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
