Downscore

Downscore is an experimentally produced combination of ambient style synthetic moods, and relaxed/chillaxed beats.

Songs may be slow or fast in tempo, but all tracks should maintain a lo-fi, home-made aesthetic.

Downscore can be programmed, or produced live, but the main goal regardless is to create thought-provoking feelings and headspaces, such as to induce a state of nostalgia or memory-awakening, while still having a dope beat to carry it along.

It goes well with headphones, and walking around outside, or doing menial tasks which are rendered less terrible to do, by the music.

It is rarely created on new software. Mis-uses of older programs, and less-than-up-to-date versions of software can allow the warm, fuzzy feelings to truly come out of the work.
"I always thought it was down-score, but it's downs-core, I am told."

"Downscore: taking you back to 1982, since 1997."
