Chechen for "no problem", like Swahili "hakuna matata". Pronounced "HOOM-ah DAHTS", the "h" being pronounced with a slight rasp from far back in the throat, the "OO" short as in "book".

Ermaloin mott? Humma dats! Translation: The Armenian language? No problem (for me to learn it)!

dechik-pondur

A Chechen musical instrument, this is a type of lute with usually three strings, a spade- or bottle-shaped hollow body, and a short fretted fingerboard. The sound quality is bright but at the same time soft in volume. "Dechik" means "wood" and "pondur" or "pondar" means "musical instrument".

I like the sound of a dechik-pondur better than the Chechen balalaika.

kekhat-pondur

A rather unusual way of describing a Chechen musical instrument, but perfectly logical when you consider that the bellows of this instrument are made out of a type of cardboard/plastic composite; a Chechen accordion. "Kekhat" means "paper", and "pondur" or "pondar" means "musical instrument". The Chechen accordion has a bright and loud tone quality and is well-suited to playing rapid, staccato passages.

The "Lovzar" Chechen Dance Ensemble had some very good kekhat-pondur players.

wallpaper music

Middle-of-the-road, cocktail music, Muzak, or cheesy pseudo-New Age music intended to entice customers at a supermarket or department store to shop.

Why is it that alll these Wal-Marts have to have that blasted wallpaper music playing? Why can't they have jazz or classical music? For our Creator's sake!

An intense devotee of the clarinet and its music. You'll almost always hear a clarinut noodling around with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Concerto For Clarinet and Orchestra in A Major" before he/she starts practicing scales!

Joe Pappas is a real clarinut! You oughtta listen to him play that run at the beginning of George Gershwin's "Rhapsody In Blue"---he polishes it off like he's born to it!
