Los Alamos

Los Alamos was a classified research laboratory site, built as part of the Manhattan Project to develop an atomic bomb, along with Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and Hanford, Washington. The site was home to a “secret city” built to accommodate thousands of scientists, engineers, and their families.

Van Hoytema is a Dutch-Swedish director of photography known for his work on The Fighter (2010), Her (2013), Interstellar (2014), and Dunkirk (2017).

Did You Know Van Hoytema always wanted to be a filmmaker, he eventually went on to attend the Polish film school in Lodz and started out making documentaries. He later met someone who asked him to shoot a very low-budget film in Norway, which he accepted to do. This led Hoyte to create another film in Norway which was led by a producer who was very active in Sweden. The producer offered Hoyte to work on a television show and another feature film. This started Hoyte's career. He started to become a notable filmmaker in Sweden.
Hoyte van Hoytema had worked with A-list auteurs, including David O. Russell (The Fighter), Sam Mendes (Spectre), and Spike Jonez (Her). And has worked with Christoper Nolan on Interstellar, Dunkirk, Tenet, and the upcoming biopic about the Father of Atomic Bomb - Oppenheimer (2023).
