There are two Types of rap music, MTV rap and Real rap.
MTV kills music, it makes people think rap is all about selling drugs, disrespecting women, when it so much more than that. DO NOT judge rap from, 50 Cent, Soulja Boy, Hurricane Chris, D4L, T-pain, Ja Rule, DFB, or anything else that is played on mainsteam TV or radio. Rap is about using poetry to express life. Living in poor urban areas is hard, that's why rap was invented to lift people's spirits. Of course corporate America saw this at a chance to make money and soon tried to commercialize rap. Real rap artists are, Tupac, Rakim, Gangstarr, Wu-tang clan, Mobb Deep, Public Enemy, Warren G, Nas, and more. Listen to their music before you judge the stupid garbage that MTV plays.
Rocker Kid: Rap is crap.

Me: You probablly are talking about Soulja Boy and other idiots like him. Listen to Rakim, or Tupac, not MTV Rap.

Las vegas

Why does everyone hate Las Vegas? Have you ever even been there? The hotels are nothing short of amazing, roman palaces, Egyptian pyrmaids, Parisian Castles, transformed into Modern Hotels. The Club scene is off the wall, and the hotel pools are the best. Sure, there are ghetto parts of the city of sin but what city doesn't have that? Don't write a definition if you've never been there.
Stop hating on Las Vegas, people could do the same thing to where your from.

central jersey

Where I'm from. We are actually closer to NYC than to some parts in South Jersey which is kind of funny. Central Jersey includes the counties of Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, Hunterdon and Mercer. North Jersey is more industrious and South Jersey is more agricultural. Central Jersey has a lot of Suburbs and has Trenton the capital. People either like the NY giants or the Philly Eagles, a lot of people commute to Manhattan and we call sandwitches subs. Despite Popular belief Wa Wa isn't only in South Jersey we have plenty of them up here too. We are low-key people that know how to party. If you were going to visit Jersey I wouldn't reccomend Central Jersey cause theres not a lot to do besides go to the mall, party, and movies. South Jersey has a lot of Shores and North Jersey has the famous Bergen County.
I don't get why North and South Jersey Fight. No one even knows about Central Jersey so not a lot of people hate us.

A Bay Area Rapper from Vallejo, California. He's a real good rapper and is one reason why the Yay Area contributes so much to hip-hop slang.

staten island

A borough of New York City (Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island). People are obviously Exaggerating aspects of Staten Island. Yes there are rich kids, fake tans, and spikey hair but does every last person have that? NO. Yes people have an acccent, so do people from South Carolina, or Mexico, accents reflect where your from, so they're kind of good, otherwise we'd all talk the same monotone voice.
Staten Island is a borough of NYC

- people have accents, so do you
- some people are rich not everyone
- some boys spike their hair not everyone

stereotype

An idea used because you don't understand something someone different does. Ex. You may think all Jamacians smoke weed, while in reality it's part of their religon, and they're Rastafarians. Ex. You may think Italians all have dark hair/skin, while in reality, that's only southern italians while Northern Italians can have blond hair and blue eyes. You may think Southern people are all stupid, while in reality, they just have an accent, so do most people. You may think Northern people all live in big cities and are stuck up, while in reality a lot of us live in suburbs and we are pretty low key people. You may think California is all beaches, while in reality is has beautiful beaches, large cities, ghettos, desserts, and shitty places. You may think that people from Jersey say "Joisey" but in reality we say "Jurzee". There are millions more, but yeah sterotypes are used to identify people you don't understand.
Stereotypes may contain some true facts but overall they exaggarate and generalize way too much.

Metal mouth-pieces that cover one's teeth. Commonly made out of gold, silver, diamond, and platinum. Rappers tend to spend their money on these grillz. Common examples are Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Nelly etc.
Grillz are the ultimate sign of wealth and power in the ghetto community.
