homeopathic beer

This is a synonym for light (lite) beer; essentially a watered-down, unsubstantial beer.
Bud, being a wimp, went into Finnegan's Bar and ordered a Bud Lite. The Guinness-drinking crowd snickered at him for ordering a homeopathic beer.
Used locally in New Orleans by French- or Louisiana Creole-speaking people to describe being sick. Sometimes also spelled cagu.

Binet jockey 

A Binet jockey is slang for a psychometrician: someone who administers psychological tests. From the perennial instrument, The Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scale. This term may convey anything from affection to scorn, depending on the context.
As a M.S. in a school system, Bettina was nothing but a glorified Binet jockey; but it paid the bills.

bondieuserie 

Ostentatious piety. An open display of religious sentiment primarily for the consumption or edification of others.
Mary had three saints' statues and habitually did flying novenas; she was heavily into bondieuserie.

Scottish play 

This is a periphrastic way of referring to William Shakespeare's play "Macbeth," a device sometimes used by actors to avoid referring to the play by name, because of the supposed bad luck that it might bring if it is referred to by name. Likewise, the protagonist and his wife are referred to as"Mr. and Mrs. M."
The Village Players led off this year's season with the Scottish play.
