obfun

Obfun is short for "obligatory fun." It refers to the ice-breaking activities that are injected into all-day seminars oe conferences either to make it more interesting to the participants, to remove any sense of dignity that might remain, and to lend variety to the activities.
The all-day conference consisted of six hours of lectures, and three occasions of obfun in which we lowered Hula-Hoops over each other, wore silly masks, and pretended that we were a herd of lemmings migrating for survival.

Drachenfutter is a gift or some other form of peace offering used by a husband or boyfriend in order to appease an angry woman or girlfriend. Used primarily in cities where there is a significant population of German origin.
Since Jack forgot Madeline's birthday and went out with her older sister, she will punish him by withholding affection until he expresses sufficient repentance with some appropriate drachenfutter.

The FEMA effect refers to the all-too-predictable incompetence that emerges when the federal government machinery gets into the process.
The ineptitude in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina was in part a manifestation of the FEMA effect. They probably think that you French-kiss someone on the elbow.

passez

A teasing 'game' or activity in which two or more people collaborate to seize someone's possession, tossing it to each other to prevent the owner from getting it back. This 'game' has been played for generations in New Orleans and is pronunced 'pos-say.'
Heather and Robert ripped off my bikini top and tossed it back and forth, saying "passez" with each toss.

Scottish play

This is a periphrastic way of referring to William Shakespeare's play "Macbeth," a device sometimes used by actors to avoid referring to the play by name, because of the supposed bad luck that it might bring if it is referred to by name. Likewise, the protagonist and his wife are referred to as"Mr. and Mrs. M."
The Village Players led off this year's season with the Scottish play.
