A long dead British genre of music combining rockabilly and 80's garage trash with B-movie, horror and zombie theatrics. The Meteors claimed to be the only true psychobilly band despite their ditching of the revered double bass. Other example are the Guana Batz, Krewmen, Quakes, Demented Are Go, Skitzo and the Coffin Nails.
Klub Foot was the venue to go to.

A fan of such music characterized by the mutating of a traditional rockabilly pomp into a zombified quiff, shaved to the bone at the back and sides. Sometimes with a shaved section on top which left a horseshoe quiff.
~Only the Meteors are pure Psychobilly.

A fusion of contemporary punk and rockabilly.
Often confused with psychobilly, a long dead (regardless of what some Tiger Army kiddies will tell you) British offshoot of rockabilly and trash.
Punkabilly is more of a good time, rockin' sound, sometimes with some elements of swing or jazz thrown in.
The Kings Of Nuthin' sure are one hard rockin' punkabilly band!

Petroleum based pomade used to style the hair. Favoured less in recent times due to all manner of modern waxes, hairsprays amd gels but still de rigeur amongst the swing, rockabilly, and greaser fraternities.
Can be used to create anything from a slicked back 1920s look to a 1950's pompadour.

Shortening of 'seamed stockings', vintage or reproduction nylon or sometimes silk hosiery with a seam going up the back of the leg from under the toes to the stocking top, or welt. The stockings should be shaped to the leg (fully-fashioned) and are sewn up the back, hence the seam. Modern seams are often purely aesthetic and are not neccessary to the construction of the stocking.
Phwoar! Look at that wiggle! She looks good in that tight skirt with seams 'n' heels.
