inport
inporting refers to a postmodern building thermal control systems ability to sequester heat from air-conditioned spaces within the building. While some rooms are cooled, other rooms, liquids or thermal sinks are heated such as house water , a hot tub, a pool or an unused room. Inporting prevents thermal runaway in dense urban enviroments while preserving comfort for occupants. Empty, unused spaces are heated marginally.
During a massive heat wave in the city, buildings inported their own air-conditioning waste heat and some advanced buildings were even able to inport outside heat from the city guring the worst hours of the day, they then release the heat at opportune times in the middle of the night.

raptor perch
a naturally shaped t structure placed outdoors to attrach birds of prey in the day and night, ideally featuring a night vision equipped motion camera to record landings day and nite of local raptors.
Our garden has a raptor perch on one corner reducing our need for pest control as owls stop there at night and hunt mice, rats, gophers and squirrels

varmint pit
a specially designed container, generally inverted cone, where varmints such as mice rats squirrels gophers can slide in and find food and water but not be able to exit. Being wide open at the top and placed near natural perches for raptors, birds of prey and coyotes can easily enter, consume the varmint then freely exit, reducing the need for poison control, encouraging perching of raptors in spaces where people benefit from protection of food, crops, plants from nuissance varmints, ultimately reducing disease, costs and balancing the natural system
I saw a rat scurrying around our garden at dusk as it was looking for food and slid into the varmint pit, where an owl perched on a nearby raptor perch in the night and saw an easy meal. It was all caught on our wildlife camera.

rapture perch
a specially designed seat elevated from its surroundings that presents its occupant to the descending second coming of Jesus, ' the rapture'.
When i saw the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse, i ran to my rapture perch, buckled up with a sodapop and clicked the 'save me first' button. I was instantly thrust high in the sky where i was first to meet my maker, in rural west virgina.

boxxmaxxing
A trend in architecture where housing or other structures are expanded to fill the maximum square footage ignoring all other design constraints ending in a very boxed structure with little personality
When we went to remodel our home the architect used the boxxmaxxing design principle. We got the max square footage we could. Its now a cold, cubey shape. You might think our home reached its maximum value, but trading all other uses for floor area only works on paper. Adding curves and outdoor spaces would have a been better use of our buildable envelope :(
