Pointless

Someone that would have a counterpoint if there ever was any point to anything they said or did, since a counterpoint is still a point at which a point is opposed from.
He/she is a pointless person, like all of his/her actions, so what's the point of him/her still being here when nobody would miss him/her if he/she wasn't here. Not being able to resist the urge to get argumentative about something isn't the same thing as actually having a point or a counterpoint (at least not a legitimate one that has a reason, cause, or point, as most instigators don't).

Redundant

Somebody over 6'6" that feels the need to explain to other people that they were always tall for their age is like Danny DeVito trying to explain he was always short for his age. You hear about a midget who became a giant in the Guiness Book of World Records, but it's rare among most people. You don't hear somebody 4'10" say that they were tall for their age until they were about 7 or 8, then they felt like a midget after that. Most of the time if you see a spade, a spade is what it always was.
It's redundant to explain what is already visible and obvious, kind of like repeating something thousands of times.

Boat

Car Dealer 1 (after bumping into Car dealer 2)- So, you here to sell some cars?

Car Dealer 2- Cars? This isn't the boat dealership? Wait a second, my wrist monitor is going off, I can't let it go above a certain level or it would be bad for everyone here.

Seriously

There's a difference between wanting to be taken seriously and being serious.
Authoritative sources such as scientists, the media, government officials, and healthcare officials (in particular anyone making a fortune off medical supplies), want people to take vaccine and mask mandates seriously, but that doesn't make them serious people.

Basketball

Something not everyone feels like watching/playing all summer long, during the most casual time of year there is. The way things were done before the pandemic, where the finals ended a month before late July was good enough, since it was good enough from the creation of the league roughly until the pandemic. There never needed to be an extra month of basketball, where a few people keep changing schedules and games until the team they want to see win finally does.
By late June, people have watched enough basketball, there's no good reason for it to continue a month longer. It doesn't create fatigue for anybody, it's aggravation at a casual time of year not meant for excessive levels of aggravation, and the aggravation is there no matter what team gets the championship. Late summer isn't basketball time because it never was.

Lamb chop

Lorena Bobbitt gave John Bobbitt the lamb chop for thinking he was a bigger prick than everybody else.

Doormat

Something people walk all over when/if they feel like a welcome is a weakness.
You helped me by eliminating yourself from my life over perceived disrespect. We didn't have much of a bond to speak of if I hardly knew you, if I did know you well then your end of the bond was false, but I won't welcome you back a second time, I don't owe you that. I'm not the doormat you thought I was.
