Sweden

Though Sweden hasn't locked down a year into the pandemic, death rates are still lower than countries that did lock down. It wouldn't be a good idea to change now. Resisting lockdowns is resisting them even when there is opposition within your own country. If you don't remain standing, you will fall for anything.

Sweden shouldn't take a knee or a bow to pressure from other countries or from opposition within their own because they are neutral. They've been standing against lockdowns for a year now, that's too much effort and work to turn into bullshit and throw away by doing what everybody else is doing based on a little pressure from the opposition that wants you to.

Dutch courage

Its bad when a group of people made the English and French look brave in the American Revolution by letting them do all the fighting in a war for independence from European control. Its not called Dutch courage for nothing.

French guy-Your courage is such Dutch courage.
Dutch guy-Well, there was blood everywhere and I was too high to fight.
French guy-Like I said your courage is such Dutch courage.
Dutch guy-Im gonna pretend you didn't say that, I'm a lovable guy.
French guy-You have too much Dutch courage to be a lovable guy. You're a fucking coward, not a pet.
Dutch guy-You made a good point just now.

A person who pretends to be more righteous than they are to preach, but doesn't walk the righteous life they preach, and usually won't walk much else of what they preach.

Helen the princess is what they call pretentighteous.

Wholesome image

What somebody posing as wholesome and innocent has.

He/she would always wear the sheepskin wholesome image of the boy/girl next door, and you would think that he/she had never done any wrong in his/her life, the way everybody else had.

Houston Astros

You notice that teams that haven't been losing against the Yankees much that year get investigated, but when was the last time anybody investigated the Yankees? LA is the same way, other teams either go along with the LA teams program or theres an investigation.

The Houston Astros and the Red Sox, teams that had been giving the Yankees trouble in the past few years are the teams that got investigated it turns out, which seems to be what happens when the Yankees don't win a title that year. The same time winning every year isnt interesting, some people root for the team that's going to keep a season interesting over impressive stats and a winning record. Some people root for the team that never wins because they're everything the Yankees are not, that doesnt mean they're okay with their team losing.
