"before and after" photos
The total bu**s**t "comparison of status/condition" images that supposedly show how much someone/something has been improved by your advertised products/services/philosophies. Often the "after" photos will have been re-touched to make the "result" look far better than it actually was, or the two sets of photos have merely been "switched" --- i.e., the "before" photos are actually of the deplorable/decrepit way that the person/object **presently looks**, and the "after" photos show how the person/object looked BEFORE you started messing around with your precious quackola "treatments" or "improvements"... in other words, the situation is EVEN WORSE OFF NOW THAT YOU'VE PRACTICED YOUR ADVERTISED TREATMENT, NOT BETTER!!!
This advertisement's "before and after" photos of people who were supposedly helped immensely by this fad diet certainly do look impressive at first glance, but I can't help observing that many of the people look noticeably **older** in the "before" photos... interesting...

he has to learn
The most pathetic lazy-a** excuse to not git up off yer butt and help your young son to do something,. like any self-respecting parent should do.
Employing the pathetic and abusive "he has to learn" method is not only unkind and wasteful of time and your little one's patience (plus its true effectiveness has never been proven), but it can also be downright dangerous in at least four ways --- the child may likely injure himself in his attempts to "do it right", he may get "artificially" discouraged about trying to do the task since he is not succeeding (it could also cause him to prematurely “give up” in his overall approach to problem-solving in general, and so he will not adequately perseverance with anything new/difficult in his future life), he will begin to hate you for not helping him and for allowing him to become so frustrated (especially if the task was a fairly simple one where just one or two minor “guidings” would have shown him how to do it), and he may behave more spitefully --- or even violently --- with you sometime in the future if "push comes to shove" and he actually has a choice of actions that could severely affect you physically/financially, such as defending your safety or managing/dividing your assets.

debriefing
What you assume to mean that hot chicks are going to remove your underpants and "show you a good time" as a reward for your undertaking a dangerous wartime-endeavor, whereas in reality it merely refers to your military superiors' having you recount to them the important details of what happened during your mission.
The term "debriefing" can have a similar "getting up false hopes of pleasures/gifts" effect that the sadly-misleading phrase "tobacco-free campus" may produce --- you expect that something wonderful is being offered if you consent to or succeed in some arduous/dangerous actions, but in reality you end up getting nothing whatsoever of tangible reward for all of your feverish ass-busting! What a lousy rip-off!

mazeltov cocktail
A "Jewish good luck" alcoholic beverage that unexpectedly blows up in your face when you're about to take a sip.
Mazeltov cocktails are indeed extremely startling and traumatic. If said explosive concoction is carefully formulated to be non-injurious, though, but merely to scare da livin' crap outta da "victim", it can sometimes be effective in getting him to stop drinking altogether, just like da infamous snapping/shocking cigarette-pack is intended to encourage someone to "kick da habit", since da booby-trapped box's acutely-unwelcome "surprise" will make da smoker always warily think twice before "lighting up" in da future.

Post-pone
A tasty sliceable baked good made from finely-crumbled Honey Bunches of Oats, Grape Nuts, and/or Raisin Bran, rather than corn-meal.
phonetic shortcut
Da "lazy man's way" of pronouncing two or more words in a common phrase --- the individual words get corruptedly/messily "run together", rather than being spoken clearly and "separately", the way a "proper" person would say them.
Classic examples of a phonetic shortcut would be "wanna" (want to), "ustuh" (used to), "shouldah" (should have), and "didja" (did you). Disgusting how da young people talk these days!
