comic relief
I sometimes save cartoon-pages without reading them, so that I can have some comic relief whenever something upsetting/disappointing happens in my life. It's more effective at lifting my spirits than chowing down on a tub of ice cream, and it's totally non-fattening, as well.

inside-of-glove fingers-curl
Refers to the chillier-weather hand-maneuver that you periodically perform when your digits get chilly inside your mittens; it involves withdrawing your half-frozen appendages from the glove's cold-moisture-soaked fingers and rolling them up into your palm to help warm them a bit more.
I had to handle wet items while running my errands around town during today's unseasonable snowstorm, so I was obliged to frequently perform the inside-of-glove fingers-curl so that my hands wouldn't go numb.

Tacobell Canon in D
Da most popular light-classical selection dat da local fast-food joint plays over their Muzak speakers.
I love soft chamber-music as much as anyone, but it can still get a trifle tiresome hearing dat same cloyingly-sweet-toned Tacobell Canon in D played at least once over da diner's PA-system on every occasion while I'm chowing down my favorite lunch.

Commando-in-Chief
An a**h**e U.S. president who runs roughshod over others through brash/brazen/reckless use of the nation's Armed Forces.
If Tronald Dump is gonna misbehave anything like our prune-faced Commando-in-Chief from the '80's did, we're gonna be headed for World War 3 before we know it!
