impeccably ill-mannered 

The quality of knowing how to offend and alienate as many people, in as short a time, as possible.
He was their new neighbor, so comprehensively offensive to everybody that within a couple of weeks of his arrival he was a laughing stock. No one wanted him there. No one was speaking to him, or ever would. He had trained hard to become what he was - impeccably ill-mannered. It was a talent given to few.

A form of cryptocurrency peddled to the greedy, eager and gullible as a sure bet to separate them from their money

The reflexive belief that "there is an app for everything", eclipsing the experience of simply being alive in the world.
They were in the woods on a sunny spring day. He was looking at the light streaming through the branches. She, having apptitude, was staring at her phone.

"What are you doing?" he asked.

"I want to know where we are" she answered.

"We are here" he sighed.

French Astronaut

Codeword for a fussy eater.

Named for Frenchman Thomas Pesquet, whose meals in the International Space Station will include lobster, beef bourguignon, cod with black rice and almond tarts with caramelized pears.
"We've got a French Astronaut at Table Seven. Prepare to have everything sent back."

Breathing While Black 

In too many instances in America, a crime punishable by death.
In the eyes of Derek Chauvin, George Floyd's crime was Breathing While Black. As Chauvin suffocated Floyd for more than nine minutes, ending his life, Floyd's last words were "I can't breathe", a phrase which became a rallying cry for justice.

WE CAN BREATHE

The collective exhalation of relief following the guilty verdicts in the trial of Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd. Floyd's last words, I can't breathe, had become the mantra of injustice in a country where police killings of unarmed Black men are routine and have gone largely unpunished.
As the three verdicts were read - guilty - guilty - guilty - millions of Americans, across the spectrum of race, ethnicity and economic status, suddenly felt WE CAN BREATHE.
