The civil rights that individuals and married couples have that those in the homosexual community don't have. These include the legalization of gay marriage, the same rights to said act that heterosexuals receive, (such as tax exemptions and benefits) and the right to be in public without being frowned upon.
Although homosexuals have been fighting for these rights since the late 1800s, the issue never received nearly as much publicity until around the 2004 election when Congress gave the states the right to choose their view on this issue.
Democrats and liberals feel that these individuals deserve the same rights that all of us have because we are all human, the Constitution says "All men are created equal," and that we practically did the same thing with the Civil Rights Movement in the 1950s and 60s. Republicans, conservatives, and many Christian groups feel that homosexuals should not be given the same rights for various reasons including their own thoughts that homosexuality is a disease or mental illness, that it has no social benefit, (i.e. impossible to bear children) and that the Bible doesn't allow it (see Leviticus 18:22). There have been many arguments about these issues which have also brought into question where to draw the line between the Seperation of Church and State.

I tried to make this definition as unbiased as possible without giving away much about my political party preference and/or my stand on this issue.

There are three types of Green Day fans out there.
1) Older fan: Someone who has been listening to Green Day since the early 90s. GD may not be their favourite band, but it certainly is one of their favourites. Usually doesn't care too much about what you think about them. However, they laugh at the New/American Idiot Fans.
2) Quazi-New fans: These individuals have been listening to Green Day since about when Warning was released. They tend to do a great deal of research on the band to communicate with the Older Fans. Tend to hate the New/American Idiot Fans.
3) New/American Idiot Fans: As the name implies, these are the "fans" who started liking Green Day once American Idiot was released. Their age usually ranges from 11-14, they're most likely mall punk, and they research Green Day to the point of insanity because "OMG Billy Joe iz so HOT!!!11! OMG OMG OMG I WOULD SO FUCK HIM!!" They usually make "sex/story" quizes about the band, claim they know everything about the band based on what they read on Amazon.com, and are insanely obnoxious. See poseur.

I need to use Green Day Fan in the example, so...
1) Yeah, I saw Green Day about 9 years ago and it was intense.
2) I liked Green Day to begin with, but after listening to Kerplunk I love them!
3) OMG GREEN DAY IS SOOOOOOOOO COOL AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE THEM YOU MUST BE GAY LOL I LUV BILLY JOE!

A movie written and directed by a genius of a man, who deserves quite a bit of respect in his industry, starring and most talented and charming Uma Thurman, who has a stellar performance, as always, and, I will predict and wish for her to go down in film history for her unforgetable work
Kill Bill is a dynamic piece of artwork that has change what film-goers will desire for future films by all.
